Non-Licensed Staff - Crane Funeral Home, Inc.

Non-Licensed Staff

Although they are not licensed funeral directors, these staff members are vitally important to the operation of our firm.  These individuals make it possible for us to professionally coordinate funerals with the quality of service our community has come to expect from us.

Tracy Hojara, Administrative Assistant

Tracy resides in Westland with her fiancé and two daughters, Kiyah and Aubrey. After graduating from Romulus High School with Honors, Tracy attended Eastern Michigan University and earned a Nursing degree. Tracy came to work for Crane Funeral Home when a friend, who was already an employee, offered her a position. She enjoys helping families who have lost someone and that are going through such a difficult time of their lives. Spending time with her family is how Tracy devotes the majority of her free time. Tracy also recently purchased her first home and she enjoys decorating it and making it her own.

Tina Buxton, Administrative Assistant

Tina was raised in eastern Kentucky on Mill Creek Farm, her family's horse farm, which is still owned and operated by her father today. She eventually moved to Michigan, graduated from Plymouth Canton High School, attended Cosmetology School, then went on to earn an Associate degree in Liberal Arts, and also a second degree in Education. Tina also served in the US Navy Reserve. Her family consists of her husband, Mark, their two children together, Madison and Mason and they have resided in Van Buren Township for over 20 years. Having a understanding and compassionate nature has served her well in her position here at the funeral home; she thoroughly enjoys helping families in their time of need and working in funeral service as a whole. Tina is a member of Hope Evangelical Church in Dearborn, Eagles Aerie #3343 in Van Buren Township and Women Entrepreneurs in Small Business. She also enjoys assisting with fundraising opportunities at her children's schools. Cooking, baking, boating, tending to her micro-farm of ducks, chickens and the like, while operating her candle company, are some ways Tina spends her free time. Her favorite down time is spent with her family, especially her two children.

MaryAnn Wells, Funeral Home Staff

MaryAnn was born and raised in Romulus, graduated from Romulus High School, was a member of the National Honor Society and received the "Outstanding Student in Business" award. Deciding to further her education, MaryAnn attended several medical terminology classes and also bookkeeping courses. She lives extremely close to Crane Funeral Home, just a "stone's throw" and she loves helping family members cope with the loss of a loved one, believing many times, a kind word or even a hug can help make a difference with their grief. Working part time at Crane Funeral Home for over 13 years, MaryAnn was grateful that she remained employed when Chris Poirier and John Kernan purchased the funeral home and often jokes that "she came with the building."  MaryAnn has been a life-long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in New Boston and for 15 years she has also been a member of Romulus Chamber of Commerce. Volunteering at many Chamber events along with fundraising events for Romulus Rotary, City of Romulus and the 34th District Court, where MaryAnn has been Deputy Clerk for almost 30 years, are some ways she gives back to her community. Gardening, yard work, sewing and mending are a few ways she spends her free time. MaryAnn also enjoys going to the movies, going to Motor City Casino and her many close friendships she has made. Her family consists of her two adult children and four grandchildren.

Gayle Mach, Funeral Home Staff

Gayle was born and raised in Romulus, still living in the city today. She has one son, Ben, and also enjoys her numerous friendships, many who are former Romulus High School classmates. She loves interacting with the families and visitors the funeral home helps serve, hoping she brings a comforting presence for them. Gayle came to work for Crane Funeral Home once she retired from the City of Romulus. She is an active member of St. Aloysius Church and also a member of the Western Wayne Company Quilting Guild. Some of her free time is spent volunteering for St. Aloysius Church, the Quilting Guild and the Boy Scouts. She thoroughly enjoys her volunteer work and also gardening her personal flowerbeds and those she plants for others.

Robert White, Funeral Home Staff

Robert graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1975, after growing up and graduating from Belleville High School in 1970. Earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Education, Robert continued his education, earning 18 hours towards a Master’s degree in Educational Administration.  Robert has been the Senior Pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Belleville for 22 years. After becoming an ordained minister and serving as an on-call pastor for people who need a clergyman to officiate funeral services, he also assisted in several areas in funeral homes nearby. Being able to provide comfort to people in need is what he finds fulfilling with his work–Robert always tries to provide help to those who need spiritual guidance. He is married to his wife, Rebecca, and together they have married 3 daughters and 3 grandchildren. Hunting, fishing and golfing is how Robert enjoys his free time.
