Sophie Anna McGhee, age 96, of Romulus, Michigan, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018. Anna was born January 2, 1922 in Central City, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Milton Barnes and Martha Jane (Tooley) Barnes.

To cherish her memory she leaves two nephews; James T. Evitts and Jimmy D. Evitts, three nieces; Lisa, Paton and Kennedy, six great nephews; Robby, Jason, Jeremy, Dominic, Gavin and Shane, three great great nephews; Calvin, Dylan and Mason, and three great great nieces; Jayden, Emily and Violet.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; Milton and Martha Barnes, her husband; James O. McGhee, six brothers; Claude Barnes, William Lewis, Robert Lewis, Alvin Barnes, Robert Barnes, Arkley Barnes, two sisters; Gladys Taylor and Willidean Evitts, and one nephew; John William Evitts.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 2:00pm to 9:00pm at Crane Funeral Home, 36885 Goddard Rd. Romulus, Michigan 48174, (734) 941-9200. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 11:00am, with Pastor Jason Crawford of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Belleville, officiating.
