Obituary for Roger Lee Flowers

Roger “Buck” Flowers, age 52, of Romulus, Michigan, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018. Roger was born November 26, 1965 in Detroit, Michigan. He was the son of Harold Flowers and Shelvy Jean (Ward) Flowers.

To cherish his memory he leaves his mother; Shelvy Flowers and two sisters; Jeanette “Jenny” Burkhart and Annie (John) Hadyniak.

Roger was preceded in death by his father; Harold Flowers and one daughter; Amber.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 1:00pm to 8:00pm at Crane Funeral Home, 36885 Goddard Rd. Romulus, Michigan 48174, (734) 941-9200. The funeral service will take place on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 11:00am, with Pastor Jerry Stewart officiating. Interment will be held at Romulus Cemetery.

I just saw Buck for the first time in over 20 years after another friend's funeral about 2 weeks ago. We met for coffee at Romulus House to catch up. Buck looked great and was happy where his life had taken him. He had a girlfriend he enjoyed spending time with, he spoke fondly of his mother (even though she's still 'ornery') and sisters, and the people in his life he called his kids.
Buck actually told me he had no regrets and that he had done a lot of things in his life. I am so sad to hear of his passing. I was looking forward to contacting him about camping in the Spring as my family has enjoyed for years.
My deepest, deepest condolences are with the family and close friends of Buck. May you find peace in the fact that he held you in high regard and enjoyed the life he lived.
