Condolence: I met Steve 30 years ago when I started dating Pete Polka. When I dated Pete, I quickly found out that Steve was part of the package deal, as Steve & Pete were extremely close friends! He was the third wheel in our relationship but, in a very good way. He was not an annoying third wheel like on a bicycle with just one training wheel which makes for a rough, bumpy ride. Quite the opposite was true. He was the third wheel like on a tricycle. The extra wheel is suppose to be there and makes for a more enjoyable, relaxed & fun ride! I realized very early on why Pete thought so much of Steve. He was such a warm-hearted, fun and all-around nice guy! Throughout the years, Steve was there for every milestone in our relationship ... our wedding, kids, baptisms, birthday parties, holidays, etc. He was always there (most likely running a little late) with a smile on his face! After Pete & I divorced and when Pete very unexpectedly passed away, Steve was still there for us and was always checking in on our sons, Josh & Darren. It saddens me greatly to know that Steve has passed way too soon. I do find a little comfort knowing that Pete & Steve are together once again! You will be greatly missed, Steve. And while you're up there in heaven, please say hello to Katie for me! I have such a strong group of friends waiting for me on the other side. In the meantime, please continue to watch over me and the boys! Love & Hugs!! 😘

Condolence: Lewkowicz Family, I share your grief. Steve has been heavy on my mind since I learned the sad news. He's been a lifelong family friend. He was there for us for all four of our losses. Very good friend of my brother and sister. And you may not be aware that we called on him at the last minute to help carry our mom. He was proud to help. He was always there. Always willing to help. I'll miss his friendship, his smile, his silliness. I'll miss his stories of his shinanigans with my brother and sister. I'll miss seeing him in the neighborhood. I'll just miss him. He's in good company now. Rest easy, Steve. Prayers for comfort for the family.
