Leona L. Treder, 97, of New Boston, Michigan passed away on June 2, 2016. Leona was born September 14, 1918 in Romulus, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late George Martin Prill and Helena A. (Janofski) Prill.

Leona enjoyed playing cards, playing bingo, going bowling and quilting. She was a precinct chairman for local elections for over 30 years. Leona was also a gold medal winner for the senior Olympics.

To cherish her memory she leaves two sons; Don J. (Mary Lee) Treder of Canton and Tom A. (Nancy) Treder of Van Buren Township, one daughter; Sharon L. Treder of Huron Township, one son in law; Raymond Carter, nine grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Anthony Treder, one daughter; Jeannette Carter, three brothers; Walter Prill, Fred Prill and Alfred Prill, and one sister; Irma Pichan.

Friends may gather from 2:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday June 5, 2016, with a Rosary at 7:00pm, at Crane Funeral Home, 36885 Goddard Rd. Romulus, Michigan 48174,(734) 941-9200. Leona will lie instate on Monday June 6, 2016 at 10:00am, and mass will follow at 11:00am at St. Stephen Catholic Church in New Boston, with Father John Hedges, officiating. Interment will take place at Michigan Memorial Park.
