Georgia M. McLain, 93, of Brooklyn, formerly of Romulus, Michigan, passed away on August 9, 2016. Georgia was born May 7, 1923 in Eagleville, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late George Wolfer and Margot (Forthman) Wolfer.

Georgia enjoyed traveling, bowling, sewing, and crocheting. She was previously a member of the Sumpter Seniors for over 20 years and worked for Romulus Public Schools for 15-20 years.

To cherish her memory she leaves one daughter; Debbra Neuvirth of Milan, three sons; Terry McLain of Flat Rock, Michael McLain of Arizona, and George (Laurie) McLain of Brooklyn, nineteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 73 years; Ivan D. McLain, and four sisters; Alice Flood, Barbara Harrison, Linda Wolfer, and Margaret M. O’Brian.

Friends may gather from 12:00pm to 8:00pm on, Friday August 12, 2016, at Crane Funeral Home, 36885 Goddard Rd. Romulus, Michigan 48174,(734) 941-9200. The funeral service will take place on Friday August 12, 2016 at 11:00am with Rev. William Kren of Dearborn Congregational Church, officiating. Interment will be held at Michigan Memorial Park.
