Sharon was born in Waldron, Michigan to the late Clinton and Martha Jackson and was the youngest of 10 children, Six brothers, Clinton, Cecil, Benjamin, Carl, David, Fredrick and Oliver all deceased, Three sisters, Carolyn, Charlotte (deceased) and one surviving favorite sister Alice Gilbert, One surviving sister-n-law Florence Rupert.
Sharon grew up in Ypsilanti, Michigan where she formed many lasting friendships and treasured memories. As a teenager, she moved to Columbus, OH where she graduated from High School. During her school vacation, she came back to Michigan where she met and fell in love with her first love Melvin A. Wilson. At the time she met Melvin, he was in the U.S. Airforce. He passed away November 21, 1989. Together they conceived eight Children. Shelia (Leondo) Smith, Tina Wilson, Diane Wilson (deceased March 22, 1968), Tandra (Eric) Williams, Belinda (Lawrence) Matthews, Melvina (Kim) Howard, Chuckie (Lea) Wilson, Darrick (Monica) Wilson. Twelve grandchildren, Jay Douglas, Timothy (TJ), Prince (Jamie), Eric II, RayVon, Tandrae, Michael, Charles Jr (CJ), Donavon, Ashley (Brian), Hailey, Reagan and Aiden (deceased March 14, 2009) . Five great grandchildren, Timothy Jr. (TJ), Kennedy (deceased June 14, 2016), Jonah, and Gabriel and Ryan. A host of nieces and nephews cousins and friends and extended family.
In 1998 Sharon met and married Norman Warrick where they later moved to Phoenix Arizonian.
Sharon served as a Romulus school bus driver for many years where countless neighborhood children fell in love with her. Her smile would melt you like butter.
Our mother was also well known for the Wilson’s Dairy Dome where she made the best homemade bar-b-que sandwich in town, and her apple pie was to die for. Sharon’s favorite season was Easter. She said, ‘she loved all the colors and the best part of Easter was dressing us up and attending church.’ With so many school events, plays, rehearsals and sport events, it amazes us that she attended all and never missed one.
You could find Sharon and her sisters traveling on a yearly bases, to all their favorite states-not keeping them apart.
While in Arizona, she picked us hobbies of playing bingo, and if you knew Sharon, you would know she couldn’t wait until it was her turn to be the caller. She loved her bingo. Although we were miles apart, our mother was never alone. We all shared our visits with her showering her with love that she deserved. Now she is being showered with GODS love in eternal glory with Jesus our Lord and Savior. Rest in peace Ma, We love you to the moon and back.
