Your Mother was a great person and I know she will be greatly missed. As an Outlaw (vs.Inlaw), I am so happy that Laurie loved her cousins in Detroit and took me there to meet everyone. I always felt at home there and everyone was kind and gracious. So happy we saw Chris at the reunion in June. She was a real trooper to the end. Condolence: Mrs. Merritt was a phenomenal teacher. If you had her as a teacher, this is probably the first thought that comes to your mind about her. Her distinct voice is something that I will always remember about her because her laugh was incredibly contagious. Im 29 years old now and had her as my 5th grade teacher. I remember so much of her class, I remember several books that we read. She introduced "long division" ( which I hated and she knew it haha). We also did Thanksgiving play that we recited in her class. The list could go on forever. I absolutely loved having her as a teacher. She truly was an amazing person and will be missed by many.
